Some questions stay with me because experience keeps changing the answer.
My answers have changed. Some ideas have held. Others look different after more experience. A few I no longer believe.
This is not an attempt to make the past agree with the present. It is a place to keep working through the questions.
Confidence helps leaders make choices. It can also make those choices harder to reconsider. What conditions allow contradictory evidence to reach a decision and still carry weight?

ReadTeams can meet their commitments while their combined decisions move an organization off course. What matters is what those choices produce together.
ReadAccountability depends on whether people can see what is happening, question the reasoning and reach someone able to reconsider the underlying decision.
ReadAI can help clarify a decision. Leaders still need to examine the reasoning, understand what remains uncertain and take responsibility for what follows.
ReadAgreement can conceal different standards of evidence. Before treating consensus as progress, I want to understand how each judgment was formed.
ReadEarlier decisions may still be working through an organization when leaders intervene again. Understanding those delays changes how we interpret results.
ReadSome questions need more room than a shorter piece or notebook page can give them.
AI can expand what is possible without improving how an organization decides.
Each local adjustment that moves an initiative off course is reasonable on its own. That is what makes drift a decision structure problem, not an execution problem.
Coherence is what lets a decision move through an organization without being quietly reinterpreted.
Building something changes the questions. Ascend is what I am building and testing now, and some of what I learn will find its way here.
